Wandering around provincial park never fails to amaze me. We’re so lucky to live amongst an abundance of natural beauty. Here we wandered through the lower regions of the park. It accommodates travellers of all walks, whether you’re a man with a troller or a hardcore camping climber you can find trails right off the parking spots. Gotta love winter here

Part 2. Fast forward tot he choice of hike and we hit a snag. During winter months, which evidently include end of fall and some of spring, the park closes at 5:30pm. Bolting its gates so that reckless 7pm hikers get trapped in its belly, never to be seen again…. until the following morning. Sadly we could only do a. The lucky winner turned out to be. Ill be honest, Im not the-spotting type but the forest and Ive heard are pretty damn impressive. So we set off on the short and sweet 5km falls hike. Beginning at the car park, the trail takes you through an eerily quiet mossy, reminiscent of dorothy’s yellow brick journey @vancity.buzz @dailyhivevancouver @vancitywild @viawesome

Part 1. Due to wind, skydiving got cancelled. The video would sadly have been breathtaking, encompassing a sea of rustic colours spread across the. Unfortunately this will have to wait until next season. As a fall back we decided to get the map out, check the area and ensure the day wouldn’t be lost. Recalculating. To my surprise, we were right next to. The park is synonymous with the of. Having not ventured into the legendary, the decision was made. On approach, we cut a path through the crunchy river of yellow maple leaves. The towering goat mounted park entrance reminds us that you can actually see these long white haired fluffy animals while clambering around the peaks @vancity.buzz @dailyhivevancouver @vancitywild @viawesome

What better way to celebrate than tackling a 20km plus hike over. We took a short break on the third peak of the day north. Some popped by to keep us company… in exchange for eating all our food. The backdrop in the background shows and the. If you haven’t tried this little gem of a hike, do it! A solo adventure for a change. Decided to make my bank holiday productive and head to. A moderately easy that starts near. The location is a prime destination if you’re thinking of doing some. Plenty of tent pitches, a dinner lodge, swimming, drinking water and tons of continuing hikes that head onward into the medical mountains…. and the view isn’t half bad either @squamishhikes @viawesome

Local near the hot mud pits, on our way to, playing in the shadow of an active. The bubbling vents, that surround the area, are testament to how volatile the terrain is. Yet, without a care in the world, these seemed oblivious as they chased each other, leaping across the boiling sync holes. Now that’s tough…. or reckless?
